Echocardiogram

Creates a sonogram of the heart.

Used to determine size and shape of heart, pumping capacity, and any present tissue damage.

Will detect heart failure, valve abnormalities, mitral valve prolapse, scarring from heart attack and aneurysms.

There are no special preparations needed for this test
